:: Socorro CeC upgrades to wireless Internet connectivity ::
The Community eCenter of Socorro successfully upgraded its Internet connection from satellite to wireless last December 2011.
The geographical location of the lone island-municipality was not able to hinder the possibility of the 31-km wi-fi link across the sea with almost no line of sight.
This amazing development has made the ICT-recipient populace rejoiced especially the eCenter personnel and the LGU.

I was full of encouragement, enthusiasm and hope with the knowledge I got from my co-participants during the Study Visit and during the Philippine Digital Literacy for Women Campaign training last December 2011 in Cebu City. I have many plans in mind and I have written some of them down to be accomplished when I’m already back to station to face the realities.
However, reality bites. There are too many issues to hear and to bear - no funding and the difficulty to push the project to…

When I came back at my station in Madamba, Lanao del Sur, I was met with many pending office works at my office because of my long journey in Cebu province to attend the CeC Study Visit and LGU Exchange Program. I do believe that there were so many ideas, knowledge and experiences shared during the activity. I treasure them all and am eager to share those things to my constituents, especially what I have picked up from different towns of Cebu province about Information and Computer…
